happy to be me

In the shower I was thinking about my roof. I know odd but the shower is where I do a lot of my brain storming. It’s actually where I came up with Annabella to name our daughter.
Anyways…
I decided that something with my brain tells me changing diapers isn’t bad while my husbands brain never thinks of it. Just like me working on the roof never crosses my mind but it does my husbands.
Not that it’s my duty to talk care of the kids and his to maintain the house it’s just how it works out.
Just an odd shower brainstorming that I wanted to share!
Thanks for reading!

Making a mess is always fun for my toddlers! My little hasn’t been feeling well and fell asleep on me which meant I couldn’t move until she was awake.

My son decided it was time to get out every toy in sight! 🙂 I didn’t protest as it kept him happy and busy.

Now let’s see how he likes helping clean up!

Fingerprint tree

We did a fingerprint tree today for my parents. Grandparents love homemade gifts and they’re fun to make!

We ended up doing a second one so that I could hang one up at home!

I love this idea and they’re fun to do.

We got the free tree template here

Right now these are the most played with toys in our house..
My 18 month old girl loves her stuffed puppies.
We live 2 hours away from the closest grocery store so going shopping is a big outing for us. We allow the kids to pick a small toy when we go and she always wants a stuffed puppy or kitten!
Her laugh and learn puppy is a huge hit. She shakes her booty and claps along with the songs! Her older brother even participates which makes her super happy.
This can be found here for $14.99!
Old navy soccer ball

We got this at an old navy store and she held it the rest of the shopping day, even in PetCo! 🙂
And her leap frog shapes and sorting picnic basket which her brother plays along with too. They have picnics together and sort the different food shapes onto the right plates. They enjoy pretend food and this gets a lot of play time!

This can be found here for $16.2
My toddler boy is in love with lego duplos! He play with Legos the most and enjoys building different things. We normally buy them when we are at the bookstore which is pricey and I would recommend amazon! They have a lot of options, we started out with a little set that can be found here for under $20.

We got him a spray and rescue little tikes fire truck that can be purchased here for $76. It was cheaper back in December but I would say it’s still worth under $100. It will be a lot of fun when it’s summer and he can spray it outside…. Maybe even water the plants! 😉

Chicken Noodle Casserole

Chicken Noodle Casserole

This took a few steps but all in all wasn’t too time consuming.

I did however finally get my sick toddler asleep right when the timer inconveniently went off to wake her!

My husband gave this 6.5 out of 10 stars! He said he definitely wants it again and next time with more bread toppings!

My picky eating 3 year old had American cheese, fruit twist, a piece of bread and juice. My 18 month old however loved it!

My New Years resolution was to stop cooking all frozen meals and start actually cooking! I still throw in a sams club dinner here and there when I don’t feel like cooking of course.

Tonight is meatball chili!

Ingredients
1 14 ounce package fully cooked refrigerated or frozen beef meatballs, thawed
1 16 ounce package Santa Fe medley frozen mixed vegetables (corn, black beans, and red peppers)
2 cups chopped fresh tomatoes and/or cherry tomatoes
1 1/2 cups water
1 tablespoon chili powder
3 tablespoons tomato paste
Sliced jalapeno peppers, chopped cherry tomatoes, and/or fresh cilantro

Directions
1. In a Dutch oven combine thawed meatballs and vegetables, fresh tomatoes, the water, chili powder, and tomato paste. Cook, covered, over medium-low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. Ladle chili into bowls. If desired, top with jalapeno peppers, cherry tomatoes, and/or cilantro.

It was so easy to prepare and cooks in only 20 minutes!

My husband gave it 8/10 stars with the extra jalapeño topping!

I’m not one for spicy but other reviews said to add more chili powder for better results!

We added a new light fixture to the kids room!

You have to put it together… Yes, it’s from ikea… how did you guess?

I actually bought it on amazon since we don’t have an ikea anywhere close to us.

We don’t have anything close to us actually! We drive 2 hours just to get to the grocery store!!!
Anyways, this took me about 20 minutes to make which I did on the way home from the post office.

We bought a pendant kit so that it could be on the ceiling instead of plugged into the wall.

I absolutely love it and makes the room look more modern! A great buy.
