Newborn photography I like

I’ve been looking up newborn photo ideas and haven’t found the one that screams do this idea but here are a few I like.

I like incorporating mom and dads rings with the baby, cute idea!

I take back my starting comment… I love this one, it’s so adorable!

Our little princess will have her older brother to take photos with as well and these are a few great ideas.

I love the baby hammocks, they can be comfortable in the most awkward position and make it look precious.

I’ll update this post once I find more ideas I’m stealing! 🙂

Baptism party ideas

We had our son baptized at my parents local church when we went to visit the east coast. It was a lovely ceremony with great people but we didn’t have much time to plan the party…
For our soon to be baby girl I’ve already started getting ideas to be prepared! Here are a few I like…

New sibling suggestions

Well we are expecting a baby girl in October! We are so super excited and hope our 18 month son will be too once he arrives.
Ky (our son) is my world and I spend every second of my day with him. I’m a crazy obsessed mom who even still has him sleeping in the bed! I know I know it’s crazy! I need to get him in his crib before her arrival or things will be too difficult.

Any suggestions?
I hate to hear him cry and feel bad because as soon as I put him in his crib for a trial he hates it. He will play in it during the day if I’m doing something like vacuuming his room or a quick chore but other than that he hates it and know I’ll take him out…
Yes an 18 month old has me wrapped around his tiny adorable finger.
Any suggestions in preparing him for a baby/sibling?

So my son has loved his pacifier from day one! Some babies don’t like them and other love them! My son has his at all times!

Oh how paci has been my personal best friend for a year now! It seems to make him stop crying at the best moments. Although when he can’t find one he throws a baby temper tantrum until I do.

I’ve learned to always have a stock pile of pacifiers on hand and if I don’t the Frazier house is constantly looking for one. I feel like even though we have a million floaters I find my self saying, where in the world is his paci? Have you seen it?

STERILIZE: what you do to your first baby’s pacifier by boiling it and to your last baby’s pacifier by blowing on it.

Just recently we purchased self closing pacifiers!

Uniquely designed to help protect your baby. These new pacifiers close automatically when they are dropped, to prevent them from getting dirty. You can choose from Silicone or Latex.

They work great and I highly recommend them, no more worrying about how to clean it off when there isn’t a sink around, it stays clean for you!

A swaddle is something you wrap your baby with to keep them cozy, secure and warm. 🙂

They are said to prevent colic, reduce SIDS concerns, ease fussiness, prevent scratching their faces, and making it easier to breast feed!

I did swaddle Kyler… I had to watch a tutorial because I couldn’t get it quite right! I soon became a professional at swaddling and loved it!

I hear that not all babies like to be swaddled but give it a try!

I love these organic swaddles, my cousin sent me one it had an adorable print and was super soft! http://www.adenandanais.com/shop/swaddles.aspx.

The picture of him wearing the polka dot swaddle in the swing (looking like a stuck silly lump :))  is from Babies R Us.

The picture of him with the organic cow swaddle is being used as a blanket when he’s a couple months old.

A study published by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) in May 2005 suggests that babies who are swaddled sleep better (have fewer spontaneous awakenings and fall back to sleep more quickly) and are more responsive to outside stimuli than babies who are not swaddled during sleep.

Car Seat Cover

I highly recommend a car seat cover.

It’s adorable to peek through the little hole at them and they’re very practical.

This blanket style design replaces huge jackets and loose blankets!

This weather resistant cover is perfect for sun, rain, snow and wind!

We live in Alaska and used ours for months, when I would bring his car seat into the store he could stay asleep thanks to the cover that kept it dark inside!

These car seat covers can be purchased on Amazon for just under $20 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005CV4D0K/ref=as_li_tf_til?tag=tmim-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B005CV4D0K&adid=1XZXT2PF6Z7NNSDGXD63

I miss being pregnant sometimes! Of course I love being a mommy more but being pregnant was so fun!

I got lucky and had a text book pregnancy and no sickness whatsoever!

I lost all of my baby weight within the first two months!

I can’t wait for baby number two… especially the hiccups and little kicks!

I think everyone should get maternity photos done if at all possible… It’s great looking back and remembering when you’re little one wasn’t even here yet! I feel in love with Kyler the first time I heard his heartbeat. Man, he stole my heart from day one!

I think for most Dad’s the feel their a Dad as soon as they see the first ultrasound or some right at the hospital upon little one’s arrival… But Mom’s, we’re the lucky ones. We get to have a special bond called pregnancy!

Changing Station/Playyard

Changing Station/Playyard

This changing station was my best friend! I do everything upstairs and the baby’s room is downstairs so this station came in handy often instead of trotting my butt up and down the stairs a million times a day.

I had no idea babies used the bathroom soooo much!

There is also an insert to go a level up so that the baby isn’t all the way at the bottom before they can sit/stand. That way you don’t have to lean over and get them out! Yes, I love anything to make life that much easier!

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4024389 I see now that the station is only $99! I’m still using this as a playyard and he’s a year old so the price is definitely a steal!

Baby and Puppy

Our Saint Bernard and our sweet little baby…

We were absolutely terrified to introduce out son to our Saint Bernard Ava. Mainly because she was a puppy at the time (well still is only 2 now) and we weren’t sure on how she would react. She’d never even seen a baby before let alone have one in the house!

We realized that Ava loved Kyler the day we went into town to get groceries. This is a big family adventure as the nearest grocery store is 2 hours from home. Anyways, a friend came up and opened the door when we pulled up to visit and Ava put her body over Kyler and barked and showed her teeth likes she’s never done before! Not even for us! She was protecting her baby!

Kyler is now a year old… He and Ava are attached at the hand/tail now! They seriously do everything together! 🙂
