So my son has loved his pacifier from day one! Some babies don’t like them and other love them! My son has his at all times!
Oh how paci has been my personal best friend for a year now! It seems to make him stop crying at the best moments. Although when he can’t find one he throws a baby temper tantrum until I do.
I’ve learned to always have a stock pile of pacifiers on hand and if I don’t the Frazier house is constantly looking for one. I feel like even though we have a million floaters I find my self saying, where in the world is his paci? Have you seen it?
STERILIZE: what you do to your first baby’s pacifier by boiling it and to your last baby’s pacifier by blowing on it.
Just recently we purchased self closing pacifiers!
Uniquely designed to help protect your baby. These new pacifiers close automatically when they are dropped, to prevent them from getting dirty. You can choose from Silicone or Latex.
They work great and I highly recommend them, no more worrying about how to clean it off when there isn’t a sink around, it stays clean for you!
Mom made the platypus with fleece and flannel and stuffed him with flax seed so you can put him in the microwave to warm him up.She tested scraps of material in the microwave for 3 minutes on high with a cup of water first. Only heat for 1 1/2 minutes though. She over tested to make sure the fabric was okay for the microwave which it is and it only needs a minute and a half to warm up.
She made the cute little bunny out of an old t-shirt which my son will now play with! 🙂
Mom calls the goose… Lucy Goosey. She made it out of a paint cloth from Home Depot and some of the orange fabric we love. That painter cloth was also used for the bench cover and rocker cover. Sure does get around!
And last but definitely not least as the giraffe is my son’s favorite! This is actually the second she’s had to make so far because he wore the first one out to bits is made out of flannel.
These are great gifts and even super cute to display in the baby room!
My Mom made my son a giraffe stuffed animal and he loved it! He actually carried it around and played with it so much that I sent him to Mom’s house for repairs.
She just sent me a picture of a penguin that she made out of scrap material and I love it! The colors are perfect and it’s just so adorable! These are great gifts for little ones and easy travel companions.
You can find this penguin pattern at http://www.purlbee.com/purl-bee-penguin/
- Draw a pattern with a washable fabric marker of the animal on the back of the fabric.
- Cut out figures on the outer drawn line.
- Decorate the front and back sides as you want.
- Pin the two patterns together right sides facing each other.
- Remove pins and turn the animal inside out so the right sides are now facing you.
- Fill the animal with stuffing until it is as firm as you want.
- Push the extra fabric of the hole inside the stuffed animal and sew the gap shut.
- Add other details such as ears, tails or clothing such as a scarf or vest as wanted.
~~A helpful hint… Mom used chop sticks to push the stuffing into the beak!~~

Melissa & Doug Playful Puppy Pull Toy
I wouldn’t go out and buy one today but it’s an ok toy to have.
I love the pull string idea and the puppy wags his tail when you’re pulling him along which is cute.
Kyler enjoys chewing on the strings as he pulls it and seems to end up carrying it around by the string more than anything!
It recommends starting at age 18 months but he is 12 and fully understand the concept of the string pulling but prefers to carry him.
This toy is brightly painted with non toxic paint.
I don’t like it being so hard and him easily falling on the toy, yes I may be a worry wart but that’s the only down side I can think of.
He loves anything that’s a dog toy and seems to fully enjoy this one.
This can be purchased for only $15 on amazon… http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VNXSPA/ref=as_li_tf_til?tag=tmim-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B000VNXSPA&adid=08ZB98SY678WTNX99ZX2
Mom had this material for DECADES!
She’d had it since we were children but with seven of us running around, quilting was not on her priority list!
She made this adorable quilt for my son Kyler and used old material (material she had from making a nighty for Grandma I think) for the binding. The back is flannel which gives it a warm and cozy feel.
I’m attaching a link for a free baby quilt pattern/tutorial.
Almost every city has a Quilting Guild.
Look in your local phone book and give them a call.
Quilters love sharing what they know and can steer you in the right direction for classes.
Some fabric stores also offer lessons themselves!
Kyler gets a lot of great comments when wearing this hat.
This animal hat is warm, cozy and looks so adorable!
Kyler doesn’t mind wearing the hat and even enjoys pulling on the strings. He normally rips his hat off as soon as I put it on but cooperates with this one. Maybe he knows it’s his chick magnet!
We went into the post office the other day and the nice lady up front made all of the other ladies in the back come out to check him out. It definitely adds to his super cuteness!
Everyone always asks where we got it from. My mother actually picked it up from a Kirkland store in Virginia. I just found a collection of them online but took a little searching. This hat can be purchased for about $30 from…
Fisher-Price Go Baby Go! Poppity Pop Muscial Dino
It’s so fun to watch Kyler chase these balls around. He hands them to me to throw in for him at times too.
They bounce out of control and all over the place most of the time but sometimes they go back in themselves.
He really enjoys this toy. I don’t like how he tries to chew on the balls but they’re too big to put into his mouth all the way so safe.
He likes to pull on the knob that’s stuck inside the bouncy hole, not too sure if that will cause him to break it or not but it keeps him occupied since it doesn’t come out!
You drop the balls down the dino’s back or throw them into the center and they either come out the top or out of the dino’s mouth.
This is a lot of fun to watch and play along with him.
You can find this toy at Amazon for $35 which is the cheapest I’ve found so far.
