Right now these are the most played with toys in our house..
My 18 month old girl loves her stuffed puppies.
We live 2 hours away from the closest grocery store so going shopping is a big outing for us. We allow the kids to pick a small toy when we go and she always wants a stuffed puppy or kitten!
Her laugh and learn puppy is a huge hit. She shakes her booty and claps along with the songs! Her older brother even participates which makes her super happy.
This can be found here for $14.99!
Old navy soccer ball
We got this at an old navy store and she held it the rest of the shopping day, even in PetCo! 🙂
And her leap frog shapes and sorting picnic basket which her brother plays along with too. They have picnics together and sort the different food shapes onto the right plates. They enjoy pretend food and this gets a lot of play time!
This can be found here for $16.2
My toddler boy is in love with lego duplos! He play with Legos the most and enjoys building different things. We normally buy them when we are at the bookstore which is pricey and I would recommend amazon! They have a lot of options, we started out with a little set that can be found here for under $20.
We got him a spray and rescue little tikes fire truck that can be purchased here for $76. It was cheaper back in December but I would say it’s still worth under $100. It will be a lot of fun when it’s summer and he can spray it outside…. Maybe even water the plants! 😉
I’ll start off by saying… Yes I know it’s not centered! 🙂 we are going to add a cup on the right side to hold chalk which will make up for the difference in space. 🙂
1. Tape off the size you want the board to be.
2. Paint on magnetic primer. I’d recommend three coats allow at least a half hour to dry in between each coat. (The primer takes a lot of stirring so have your hand ready to be in pain)
3. An hour after the last coast has dried add chalkboard paint. I did two coats with an hour in between the coats.
4. Allow 24 hours to dry completely then add your trim and you’re finished!
The final product!
I’m making each of my children quilts from their old clothes.
My sister says this is a waste of money spent but I say it’s priceless! I have a memory associated with most of their clothes and one day I can share them all with them!
Our shopping list this weekend includes supplies to do the following crafts!…
The instructions and supplies list can be found here
I can see my toddlers loving these on the windows. I can already picture my one year old constantly pointing to the window admiring their artwork ! I might be crazy. 🙂
This project can be found here
This craft is fun because when do they ever use qtips? Kids love anything that’s new and fun. This is also good for motor skills.

Who doesn’t like to get a little messy? Isn’t that part of the fun in art?
Another easter craft we will do is a canvas. I will tape off a cross and let them paint the canvas as they like and once it’s dry I’ll take the tape off to reveal the outline of a cross.
These are all pretty cheap crafts that the kids will really enjoy!

Okay, so I’ve merged the blog I made for my mom with this one.

Well I volunteered to make the punch for my friends baby shower. I found the cutest idea on Pinterest…
Well when I put the blue packet of kool aid in it was actually red! Note to others… Just because the package is blue doesn’t mean the powder will be. That I thought would be ok… Boys are red too, it wasn’t pink!
Well then I added the ice cream which didn’t look foamy like the picture either. What’s going on?!?! At this point we couldn’t stop laughing at the fail.
Well the final touches were the floating ducks. Those didn’t float at all and kept going on their sides. Haha. My three year old kept saying… They’re dead, oh no, holy smokes!
We all did get a good laugh!
Ok so it was time to upgrade from crib to toddler bed. We didn’t buy a convertible crib so wanted to make our own.
I got the original bed design
The only reason I didn’t do that exact design is because birch wood is expensive!
My husband made it out of plywood which is a lot cheaper. Thank goodness for a handyman.
I then added batting to the bed and put extra cushion on all the corners.
Finally added chevron print which took five yards! I got it on sale at joanns for 2.99/yard plus 50% off coupon!
We made the bed longer than the other design as well with extra padding below because my kids always want to sleep with toys! It’s also perfect for their stars night lights and what not.
My daughters was done in pink and blue and our sons done with orange and green!
My kids have been sleeping with me since day one and it’s a hard habit to break for this crazy momma but I’m happy that they love their beds!
