Okay, so I’ve merged the blog I made for my mom with this one.

Thanks for reading and enjoy!

Knitting needle roll organizer

Ok, so Mom bought a whole set of double pointed knitting needles from stitchberry thru Amazon but needed to organize them.

Design Sponge had a cute pattern but she had to change it a bit since she didn’t have exactly what they used.

She didn’t have 1″ twill tape so she used 1/2″ bias tape.

The drop cloth frays easily so she sewed tape all the way around.

Her needles are very large, so she made the last few pockets 3″ instead if 1 1/2.

It rolls up nice and neat and she can easily see the needles she needs.

She’s going to use some of the empty pockets for scissors and such.

This is made from her painting drop cloth which only has a tiny piece left now!

Newborn diy owl sleep sack

Mom is in baby mode and making lots for little ones arrival!

She’s currently working on a newborn sleep sack which she hasn’t finished yet but the impatient daughter I am wants to share a photo now!

She is also knitting a hat to match!

The very top is ribbed followed by a row of adorable owls.

She is thinking of a buttoned bottom. The one she saw on the Internet has a closed bottom but buttons seem more practical and I agree!

You can find the owlie sleep sack and hat pattern at http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/owlie-sleep-sack

I hope yours comes out as great as mom’s did!

Jaquard bunny

This is a cute baby stuffed animal that my little ones will absolutely love! Mom has been making and mailing things for our little one who isn’t here yet and our toddler claims it all for him as soon as it arrives! She will have to start making two of everything. 🙂

For this project Mom got the yarn on sale at Michaels.

You can find the pattern for this at http://www.bernat.com/product.php?P=1&LGC=babyjacquards

She ended up running out of yarn so used a pink and while yarn to finish the sides. She’a also thinking of embroidering a face on the bunny which would be cute but I think it’s fine without one.

Hamburger and Accessories

Mom made these hamburgers and parts for our little cousin. She added them to her kitchen set and enjoys playing with them and pretending to make everyone lunch!

I love the food items because they’re soft and fun!

Here is a link to a lot of different food patterns to try!

Cakes

Mom made these cakes for our cousin Grace who is two-years old and loves them! These are cute and fun to make.

I’m not sure where Mom got her patterns from but I found a site that had good reviews… http://www.normalynn.info/freepatterns.html

These are a great gift for little ones being adorable and soft!

Heart Pillow

Here is a great Valentine gift for a loved one!

Mom found this heart pillow pattern at http://www.caron.com/projects/ss/ss_i_love_u_heart.html. She used the knitting pattern and just left the pocket off!

Super cute and comfy cozy gift!

Give it a try, and if you add the pocket… you can stick in a special Valentine card.

Baby Bunny Blanket Buddy

The Baby Bunny Buddy Blanket… Wow, that’s a mouth full!

Mom made my son this blanket and it’s so snugly and adorable!

I love watching Kyler walk around holding this blanket, too cute!

The snugly feel creates a great security blanket. This could be a great gift for a little one, they really seem to like them!

She knitted this and said it wasn’t too complicated but it also comes in a crochet pattern. Gauge is not important for this project. Don’t be afraid to give it a go!

Follow the link for patterns/ideas… You can even purchase a kit to make things easier!  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bunny-blanket-buddy—knit

Curtains

These are crocheted curtains using thread! Mom’s using them in her windows downstairs aka Dad’s Man Cave so you know they aren’t too girly!

This pattern must take awhile because she’s normally done in a flash! She’d been working on this for days, well putting it down and going back to it in between her many other projects. It was obviously worth the time though, I love the final look! It’s a fun, trendy pattern.

Angora Scarf and Hat

The Angora Scarf and Hat…

My sister bought this super soft angora knitting wool for Mom on Christmas. The seller actually emailed a pattern for the hat and scarf after my sister purchased it from her.

The pattern is cute and the wool’s silky texture makes for a snugly feel. Mom said that it was sort of hard to work with but the soft feeling made it fun.

The hair of the rabbit is blended with wool. Don’t worry, the rabbits are not harmed in order to get their luscious fur coat!

You can find the wool/yarn in white, tan, gray, black or brown on her site… http://www.annyblatt.com/
